Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician II is a key member of our team at EssilorLuxottica, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct installation, preventive, and repair maintenance of facility systems and equipment in a highly automated environment.
  • Complete general facility maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of processes and equipment.
  • Disassemble, clean, and repair all equipment both mechanically and electrically.
  • Perform minor electronic repair, calibration, and alignment to equipment, ensuring proper daily set-up and calibration.
  • Resolve equipment process and product problems utilizing established problem-solving methods, technical resources, and collaboration with fellow associates, management, and outside vendors.
  • Execute maintenance responsibilities in conjunction with daily production plans, managing work orders to ensure timely completion while maintaining high quality and low breakage.
  • Maintain efficient use of labor, process supplies, and tools to help meet plan budgets.
  • Maintain supply inventory, process tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure proper functioning and optimum throughput at all times.
  • Enter and analyze all maintenance data, perform all necessary routine maintenance, including planning and tracking, and other equipment/tool activities utilizing maintenance management software.
  • Provide support and maintain open communication with facility management staff.
  • Assist in ensuring that hourly established production goals and standards are being met.
  • Maintain calibration log per ISO standards as required.
  • Maintain reports, logs, charts, or other tracking tools as required.
  • Support the team to consistently meet Key Operating Measures.
  • Demonstrate and utilize continuous improvement techniques to exceed minimum standards.
  • Know and follow safety procedures and standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.

Requirements
  • Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a highly automated manufacturing, lean manufacturing/continuous flow operations.
