Position Overview:

Mercy Clinic Marshfield Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. This full-time role encompasses 40 hours per week and is open to applications from Medical Assistants, EMT/Paramedics, or LPNs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will:
- Prepare patients for their appointments by conducting the Advanced Standard room process, which includes:
- Documenting the chief complaint
- Performing thorough medication reconciliation
- Utilizing the Encounter Guide to address open care gaps such as fall risk assessments, depression screenings, and cancer screenings
- Complete necessary documentation in Epic for annual preventative visits.
- Assist with in-office testing, including:
- Blood draws
- Mental status evaluations
- EKGs
- Walking oxygen studies
- Point of care testing
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the delivery of care plans.

Qualifications:
For Medical Assistants:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a clinical healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.

For LPNs:
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Licensure: Active LPN licensure
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a clinical healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.
