Job Summary

The Fire Alarm Service Technician position at Briscoe Protective is a critical role that requires a dedicated individual with a passion for the fire industry. As a Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine installations, servicing, and inspecting fire alarms and associated low-voltage systems. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, service, and inspection of security alarms and associated low-voltage systems
  • System testing and inspecting to prescribed standards
  • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers' security equipment
  • Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment on and off site
  • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management within the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Previous experience and/or NICET certification preferred
  • Ability to install, inspect, or service security alarms required
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following product lines; Honeywell, DSC, Napco, Hikvision, Keyscan, Door King, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP a plus
  • Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with small tools and equipment
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well-organized
  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
  • Must read and speak English
