About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator to join our team at Aerotek. As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in structural steel fitting and will be able to read blueprints, tack weld, and maintain a clean attendance record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components for industrial applications
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine fabrication requirements
- Tack weld and assemble steel parts
- Operate hand saws and torches for cutting and shaping steel
- Perform MIG welding and other fabrication tasks as required
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accurate and safe fabrication
- Work in a team environment to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in structural steel fitting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong tack welding and assembly skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The facility is not climate controlled, resulting in very cold conditions during winter and hot conditions during summer. The environment is highly industrial and may not be suitable for candidates seeking a modern, climate-controlled work space.
