Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team at ATC Healthcare Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiac catheterization and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including attaching ECG electrodes and performing prep and drape
  • Collect and analyze blood samples and timed expired air
  • Monitor patient reactions to procedures and EKG and pressure readings
  • Administer non-narcotic medications as allowed by facility protocol and applicable state regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
  • Completion of a cardiac catheterization technician program of study or equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • RT(R) Certification, Graduate of Allied Health Profession School of Radiology with board Registry
  • At least one year of experience as a cardiac catheterization technician in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Current CPR and other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies
  • ARRT plus VA or other state license required or RCIS/CCI certification required
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. Interventional Radiology or critical care experience is preferred.
