Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret repair orders, planning the necessary work.
  • Work collaboratively with Parts Advisors and other Service Department personnel to obtain required parts and accessories.
  • Conduct Maine State Inspections.
  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications using various tools.
  • Complete detailed reports on customer repair orders, ensuring all tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
  • Communicate repair details to the Production Manager and/or Service Advisor, documenting work in the DMS system.
  • Mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills.
  • Review completed work to ensure repair quality.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Complete and maintain necessary Factory and Dealer Training and Certifications.
  • Accurately track time spent on repairs using company procedures.
  • Ensure diagnostic worksheets and factory documentation standards are met.
  • Notify management of any supply or equipment issues.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Commit to our principle of valuing people.

Work Environment:

The Skilled Technician may work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Our service department is equipped with air conditioning for comfort. The role may involve exposure to noise, hazardous machinery, and chemicals. Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
