Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for orchestrating Quality Assurance planning initiatives and executing comprehensive QA testing on application code. This role demands a thorough understanding of assigned applications, emerging technology platforms, and, where applicable, automated testing tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with fellow QA Analysts and IT personnel to conduct Quality Assurance testing, adhering to the established Quality Assurance Methodology on application code prior to deployment in line with business requirements, budget, and timelines.
• Analyze Functional Requirements, Technical Specifications, and QA Test Plans for assigned projects to develop test cases and scenarios that thoroughly evaluate product functionality.
• Identify Test Conditions, create Test Scenarios, and meticulously document Test Cases.
• Ensure traceability from test cases to all functional requirements.
• Execute test cases and business flows for assigned projects within the defined budget and timeline.
• Work closely with Developers and Business Analysts throughout various testing phases.
• Document and communicate issues identified during test execution effectively. Verify defect resolutions for closure.
• Provide updates on the status of assigned testing tasks for projects.
• Adhere to QA Testing Methodology and QA processes to guarantee best practices for metrics reporting and successful project outcomes.
• Assist in evaluating customer-reported issues to enhance QA coverage.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Conduct job responsibilities in alignment with the standards outlined in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies and procedures, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.
Qualifications
• All responsibilities of a Level I Analyst plus:
• Deliver management with requirements coverage analysis reports, test run results, and defect tracking reports.
• Provide high-level and detailed estimates for QA phases and tasks.
• Collaborate with IT, the user community, and core project teams to review and approve Functional Requirements, Technical Specifications, and QA strategies in accordance with business needs and QA standards.
• Coordinate with the Core Project Team to secure business approval of Quality Assurance Test Cases.
• Accept and approve all code builds into QA environments.
• Work with QA staff and project managers to compile and report all planning and testing task completions via project management tools for all assigned projects.
Education/Learning Experience
• Required: High school diploma
• Desired: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience
• Required: 2-4 years in QA/QC, with experience in testing application code or similar application system experience.
• Proven capability to prepare test plans, test scripts, and documentation of testing results.
• Desired: Background in Pharmacy or Healthcare.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Familiarity with various hardware platforms (e.g., Mainframe, AS400, Middleware).
Skills/Knowledge
• Required: Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Project. Strong project management skills. Highly experienced in performing QA testing across various platforms (e.g., AS400, Web, Desktop).
• Desired: Experience with Quality Center/ALM and Quick Test Pro/UFT.
