Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing IT systems across multiple locations, focusing on:

  • Acquisition and configuration of new computing devices, primarily Windows-based, with occasional support for Apple products.
  • Ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of existing hardware, including computers and printers.
  • Installation and support of various software applications, including productivity tools and specialized veterinary management software.
  • Management of endpoint security solutions to safeguard our systems.
  • Enhancement and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity.
  • Installation and upkeep of networking equipment such as routers, switches, and access points.
  • Providing technical support through a ticketing system, email, or phone.
  • Remote assistance for endpoints and on-site support as necessary.
  • Collaboration with vendors to resolve software issues and implement upgrades.
  • Establishment of backup solutions for critical systems.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in managing IT environments of varying sizes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to assisting others.
  • Expertise in Windows client and server management.
  • Experience with remote management tools for system deployment and updates.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting, including DHCP and DNS.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 administration.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with on-site responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills for timely support and project management.
  • Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, or MCSA are highly regarded.
