Position Summary

The Swimming Pool Service Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional service and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s amenities to our guests. This role requires a positive demeanor and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service while interacting with both guests and fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of pool regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Assist guests with poolside amenities, including chair covers and towels.
  • Prepare cabanas each morning for potential guest reservations.
  • Welcome cabana guests with complimentary refreshments upon arrival.
  • Complete all designated opening and closing tasks relevant to the pool service role.
  • Adhere to the operational policies and procedures as outlined by Biltmore standards.
  • Support team members in their duties as needed.
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the pool area.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Understand seating arrangements for pool chairs and cabanas.
  • Be familiar with the operating hours of the on-site dining facilities.
  • Recognize hotel guests to provide tailored service.
  • Follow service protocols as specified in the operational guidelines.
  • Prepare and present fruit selections during peak service times.
  • Report earned gratuities in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Notify management immediately in case of any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure the pool deck and cabanas are tidy by removing any litter or used items.
  • Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the pool area through cleaning and minor repairs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma is required.

  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a customer service environment is necessary.
