Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist PRN to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. As a key member of our cardiac care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering world-class healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with initial and daily assessments of patients, preparing them for telemetry monitoring and modifying and monitoring exercise prescriptions.
  • Record patient data and document daily notes, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
  • Transport patients safely and assist with setting up the exercise room, equipment, and supplies.
  • Lead exercise sessions and identify and respond to any EKG changes, arrhythmia, or changes in patients' conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within one year of hire or transfer.
  • Experience in exercise testing, training, and prescription with healthy individuals as well as patient populations and group teaching skills.
