Job Summary

This role involves loading, unloading, and delivering solar material to customer job sites via flat bed or box trucks. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, work well in a team environment, and possess a positive attitude. The role also provides opportunities to assist with inside sales and provide exceptional customer service to solar clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive flatbed or box truck to job sites in and around Bellingham
  • Deliver or pick up merchandise from customers in a professional manner
  • Proactively communicate with customers on estimated time of arrival or delays
  • Load and unload solar material from ground level or platform
  • Make sure Proof of Delivery is captured at every delivery
  • Advise the Warehouse Manager of any issues or returns from a delivery
  • Provide exceptional customer service to solar clients
  • Assist in pulling and checking orders as needed
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a commercial motor vehicle (non-CDL)
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and have an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to manually lift heavy boxes (50+ lbs.) of stock from shelves in warehouse, including lifting overhead, stooping down, and climbing ladders
  • Ability to load and unload trucks from ground level or platform
  • Ability to safely operate materials handling equipment including pallet jacks, etc.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, ability to multi-task well and be proactive
  • Ability to work and communicate very well in a high-paced environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States (without requiring employer sponsorship)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift Certification (nice to have but not required)
Working Conditions

The role involves working in a warehouse environment and outdoor conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries will be made in all weather conditions, including during extreme hot/cold, rain, and other seasonal conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $19 to $20 hourly. Additional compensation may be applicable, including bonus and benefits such as insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), paid sick leave, paid holidays, and paid vacation.
