Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents as ordered and under the direction of the attending physician
  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document medications
  • Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure all medications are properly labeled, returned, and reordered
  • Participate in facility surveys and maintain confidentiality of resident care information

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Medication Aide in this state
  • Knowledge of medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administration
  • Ability to accurately measure, record, and report vital signs
