The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and distribution of medications to patients. As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing medication orders, and adhering to regulatory guidelines and ThedaCare policies.
Key Responsibilities- Process medication orders in a timely manner to progress patient care.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and ThedaCare policies.
- Prepare pharmaceutical products accurately, adhering to established guidelines.
- Complete documentation in compliance with organizational, state, and federal statutes, regulations, and policies.
- Obtain accurate admission medication histories and implement quality measures into product preparation, storage, and delivery.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Commitment to become Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certification (CPhT) within three years of hire.
The Pharmacy Technician will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens while performing job duties. Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
