Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Care Unit team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Assist the healthcare team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
  • Recognize changes in patient situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Provide direction, education, and assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
  • 12 to 24 months RN experience for Clinical II, 3 years of clinical experience for Clinical III.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic Health Care Experience.
  • Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.
Work Environment

The Medical Surgical Care Unit is a 28-bed unit, all telemetry capable with 8-10 progressive care beds. We foster a culture that empowers new graduate and experienced nurses to learn, grow professionally, and provide exceptional care.
