Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for our clients' manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems
  • Oversee designer work and provide technical leadership to the team
  • Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist with complex design processes
  • Interact with clients, owners, and contractors to ensure successful project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish design requirements and produce construction documents
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical design for building systems
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
  • Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Arizona
  • Experience with semiconductor and/or data center/mission critical facilities electrical design
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
