Echocardiogram Specialist for Dynamic Healthcare Setting

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Echocardiogram Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the diagnosis of heart conditions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, working closely with cardiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses. Key responsibilities include:
- Pre-procedure preparation: reviewing patient medical history, explaining procedures to patients, verifying identity, and preparing equipment.
- Performing echocardiograms: operating ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, assessing heart functionality, and adjusting settings for optimal image quality.
- Patient safety and comfort: ensuring patients' safety and comfort during procedures, monitoring for signs of discomfort or distress, and providing reassurance as needed.
- Image analysis and reporting: reviewing images for quality and completeness, labeling images correctly, and providing preliminary impressions to supervising physicians.
- Post-procedure care: assisting patients after procedures, cleaning equipment, and providing post-procedure instructions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in echocardiography and cardiac sonography, with relevant certifications (e.g., ARDMS or CCI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust procedures as needed.
- A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in echocardiography techniques and best practices.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay package, with an estimated salary of $85,000 per year, based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week. The job also comes with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
