Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Final Inspection Technician to join our team at Saft America, Inc. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in our products.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections and tests on batteries and battery components to detect defects or deviations from specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality control procedures and standards, managing documentation related to quality control, and supporting the investigation of quality incidents.

As a quality-focused individual, you will work closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to implement effective quality control measures. Your keen eye for detail and analytical skills will enable you to identify potential issues in the manufacturing process and suggest improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on batteries and battery components
  • Maintain quality control procedures and standards
  • Manage documentation related to quality control
  • Support the investigation of quality incidents
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement effective quality control measures

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. from the floor to chest height
  • Ability to spend long periods of time sitting or standing
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and volt meters
  • Able to interpret visual standards
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering standards
  • Ability to navigate through basic spreadsheets and other computer programs
  • Battery experience is a plus
