Job Summary

Mccormick & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Preweigh Technician to join our team at the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD. As a Preweigh Technician, you will be responsible for operating batch processing equipment, managing raw materials, and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull and stage raw materials according to batch card specifications
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Return remaining raw materials after preweigh processes complete
  • Follow all instructions on production cards and daily schedules
  • Keep accurate production records and report information daily
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished goods for quality and defects
  • Coordinate with supervisors to address scheduling variances and process improvements
  • Perform proper sanitation, housekeeping, and safety procedures
  • Help maintain equipment and resolve machinery breakdowns
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment
  • Ability to perform foundational math equations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment with strong odors and high noise levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail is a must
