Speech Therapist Assistant for School-Based Position in Secaucus, NJ

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in a school-based environment. As an SLPA, you will collaborate closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to provide exceptional speech and language therapy services to our clients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in communication sciences and disorders, with experience in working with students who require speech and language therapy. Your ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to implement treatment plans and interventions for students with communication disorders.
- Assist in administering assessments and screenings to identify speech and language challenges.
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions for students, incorporating various therapy techniques and activities.
- Monitor and adjust therapy plans as needed, based on client progress and feedback from the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Support the utilization and maintenance of specialized therapy equipment and materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Successful completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid SLPA license or certification (if required in your state).
- Solid knowledge of speech and language development, along with familiarity with common speech and language disorders.
