We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Care Specialist to join our team at Shorewood Behavioral Health Hospital. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychotherapy, hospitalization, and/or medication.
- Provide clinical services to patients at our facility, adhering to medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner.
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years of post-graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
- Board certification in psychiatry.
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
