Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records
  • Interact with patients, hospital staff, and third-party entities to obtain and verify medical information
  • Perform data entry, scanning, and indexing activities with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Use strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Identify and report incomplete records, and follow up with providers to ensure completion
  • Use sound judgment to release patient information and document compliance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or medical records preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
