Position Overview
The Annual Campaign Coordinator will work closely with the Development and Communications team to aid in the formulation and execution of a detailed, data-informed Annual Campaign strategy. This role is pivotal in reaching ambitious fundraising targets, enhancing donor retention, upgrading contributions from existing donors, and attracting new supporters. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of donor information, developing campaign materials, managing donor communications, and facilitating fundraising events.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy and Implementation (20%): Partner with the Development and Communications team to design and execute a comprehensive Annual Campaign strategy. Leverage data-driven methods to meet fundraising objectives, boost donor retention, upgrade current donor contributions, and recruit new supporters.
- Data Oversight (20%): Guarantee that all donations, pledges, and associated information are accurately recorded in Salesforce. Maintain and update Salesforce and Classy records for current donors to ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting and Data Analysis (5%): Assist with data-related projects and report generation as required. Ensure donor contact records and related information in Salesforce are consistently updated.
- Development of Campaign Materials (10%): Collaborate with the Communications team to create appeals, publications, videos, and other media pertinent to the Annual Campaign. Work together to establish a coordinated timeline for mailings, solicitations, and other campaign milestones.
- Donor Recognition and Support (20%): Ensure that donors receive prompt acknowledgments and thank-you letters, both electronically and in print. Provide necessary support to donors and adhere to the donor communication schedule.
- Support for Executives and Development Team (10%): Assist the Executive Director, Development Director, and the Development team with strategies and solicitations related to the Annual Campaign.
- Event Management (10%): Create and maintain guest lists for fundraising events. Stay in contact with the Event Coordinator and provide assistance as needed.
- Management of Fundraising Pages (5%): Develop and oversee fundraising pages and Classy campaigns in partnership with the Communications team.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Process and acknowledge donor contributions through Classy.
- Record donation details in Salesforce and update records as necessary.
- Send tax acknowledgment receipts to donors following the processing of their contributions.
- Ensure all donations are entered into Salesforce accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide support by responding to inquiries from donors, Board members, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Manage Classy Campaign pages, including processing donations and handling refund requests.
- Update Salesforce with corrected mailing addresses for returned correspondence and resend original mailings.
- Assist with data and reporting projects as required.
- Maintain current contact and organizational records in Salesforce.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required. Demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and data management is essential. Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM systems is necessary. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment is important. Experience with Classy or similar online fundraising platforms is preferred. Work Environment: This role typically operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
