Join our dynamic team as a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing projects, designing electrical systems, and overseeing the commissioning of electrical installations. This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and enhancing electrical layouts and designs. Furthermore, the role may require the specification and programming of PLCs, robotics, and servo systems as necessary. The selected individual will also mentor junior engineers and apprentices in automation and mechatronics while taking on significant project management duties.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch engineering solutions and lead the setup of new machinery and enhancements during the commissioning stage.
- Identify and resolve issues related to Siemens and other systems.
- Work collaboratively with integrators, contractors, and on-site personnel to implement new features and troubleshoot arising challenges.
- Drive modifications to production machinery, testing, and energy systems, along with measurement, communication, and control devices.
- Effectively oversee project budgets and timelines, delivering regular updates on progress. The ability to work autonomously on projects and lead a team is essential.
- Demonstrate proficiency with various PLC platforms, different current types, servos, safety systems, and motor controls.
- Guide, advise, and train colleagues and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, STEM, or equivalent experience and education.
- Proven experience in Electrical Design, including the ability to interpret, create, and understand wiring and industrial electrical schematics.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial and Machine Electrical Design.
- Experience with Siemens PLC is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and ergonomic principles, along with expertise in 6-axis robot programming and machine vision.
- Previous experience in project management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time, depending on project needs.
