Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

The Assumption Early Learning Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infant Teacher's Aide to join our team. As an integral part of our educational environment, you will support the classroom teacher in creating a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate setting where children can thrive.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about early childhood education and has excellent communication skills. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the teacher with daily activities, maintain a clean and organized classroom, and ensure the overall well-being of our students.
About This Role- This position requires a strong understanding of the curriculum, methods, procedures, schedule, and resources used by the teacher.
- You will need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your work, following teacher cues and refraining from interrupting classroom instruction.
- Your role involves supervising children during activities, providing a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant indoor and outdoor environment, interacting with parents and community groups, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required; certification or working towards college-level hours is highly desirable.
- A general knowledge and support of the Catholic Church, its sacraments, rites, and liturgies are essential.
- Ability to utilize school information systems, obtain and maintain current adult, child, and infant CPR and First Aid Certification, and complete the Archdiocese Safe Environment Program are also necessary.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to take direction from administration, and a willingness to support teachers and administration are key qualifications for this role.
