We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Inc. This role involves planning and conducting classroom activities that provide individual developmental experiences for children, as well as performing classroom teaching duties and promoting parent involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and federal regulations and meet the needs of assigned children.
- Collaborate with Teacher Assistants and parent volunteers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure the health, safety, and personal welfare of assigned children, and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in Early Childhood education.
Requirements:
- A working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood education.
- A minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain a positive work environment.
