About the Role

Kaweah Health is a leading healthcare organization in central California, providing comprehensive health services to the community. As an Imaging Technologist II, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide radiation protection for patients according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Adjust technical factors to accommodate the age, body habitus, disease process, and condition of each patient.
  • Verify correct orders on charts or provided physician orders, referring questions to supervisors or physicians before performing procedures.
  • Perform designated procedures in surgery and endoscopy as directed.
  • Assist physicians in administering contrast media, mixing contrast solutions according to procedures, and assembling administration materials, if required.
  • Use department computers according to procedures, including Radiology Information System (RIS) and properly charging exams, adding supplies if necessary.
  • Develop images using Computed Radiography (CR) or Digital Radiography (DR) systems with correct information and positioning markers on images.
  • Transfer patients to and from X-ray rooms, position patients correctly for X-ray being taken as assigned, and thoroughly explain procedures to patients.
Requirements
  • CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fluoroscopy permit within 9 months of hire/transfer.
  • Ability to work variable shifts and be on call location dependent.
  • Must meet 3 of 8 established criteria (at transfer and annually): consistently performs DEXA exams and/or fluoro procedures independently, consistently performs EKG exam independently, three years experience as a technologist, consistently operates c-arm equipment in OR setting, able to function as a lead technologist as needed, consistently rotates between two or more locations, able to perform trauma imaging in a critical care setting, and able to perform portable imaging in a critical care setting.
