Job Summary

Kaweah Health is a leading healthcare organization in central California, providing comprehensive health services to the community. We are seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist II to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide radiation protection for patients according to safety standards.
  • Adjust technical factors to accommodate patient age, body habitus, and medical condition.
  • Verify correct orders and notify physicians of any modifications required.
  • Perform designated procedures in surgery and endoscopy as directed.
  • Assist physicians in administering contrast media and mixing solutions.
  • Use department computers to properly charge exams and add supplies as needed.
  • Develop images using Computed Radiography (CR) or Digital Radiography (DR) systems.
  • Transfer patients to and from X-ray rooms, positioning them correctly for imaging.
  • Identify patient and exam accuracy by verifying identifiers and checking orders.
Requirements
  • CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fluoroscopy permit within 9 months of hire/transfer.
  • Ability to work variable shifts and be on call location dependent.
  • Must meet 3 of 8 established criteria (at transfer and annually): consistently performs DEXA exams and/or fluoro procedures independently, consistently performs EKG exam independently, three years experience as a technologist, consistently operates c-arm equipment in OR setting, able to function as a lead technologist as needed, consistently rotates between two or more locations, able to perform trauma imaging in a critical care setting, able to perform portable imaging in a critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT certification.
