Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician I to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Conduct road tests to evaluate vehicle performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure seamless maintenance operations

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
  • Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

Please note that regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job. Additionally, the associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies.
