Position Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing pneumatic and fluid control systems. Utilizing a deep understanding of equipment operations and the relevant materials, you will manage the integration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in the design and engineering of specialized dispensing systems and will have the capability to perform root-cause analyses on malfunctioning components. Field testing of all new systems will also be part of your responsibilities. This role requires a thorough knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, solenoids, measuring instruments, and fluid dynamics. You will work closely with the Field Operations team to provide support to Field Service Technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance.
- Detect and resolve potential issues proactively to prevent breakdowns or failures.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Identify and rectify mechanical issues using technical expertise and specialized tools.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement timely and effective solutions.
- Optimization and Upgrades:
- Recommend and execute improvements to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and longevity of mechanical systems.
- Assess and suggest upgrades or replacements for aging equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep precise records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance metrics of equipment.
- Prepare reports on equipment status, emphasizing recurring issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance tasks adhere to relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary safety measures.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Offer training and support to team members on the proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in mechanical systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in evaluating new components.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and CAD software.
Additional Information
