We are seeking a skilled Railroad Track Assembler to join our team at Progress Rail Services. As a key member of our assembly department, you will be responsible for the manual assembly and building of railroad tracks and turnouts using various tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, drilling machines, finish grinders, and torque machines to assemble railroad tracks and turnouts.
- Use measuring devices to ensure accuracy and read blueprints consistently.
- Maintain quality and production standards, and ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Ability to read a measuring tape and measure to the 32nd inch.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Good attendance and ability to work overtime if necessary.
- Ability to work outside in various climates.
