Railroad Track Assembler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Railroad Track Assembler to join our team at Progress Rail Services. As a key member of our assembly department, you will be responsible for the manual assembly and building of railroad tracks and turnouts using various tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, drilling machines, finish grinders, and torque machines.
  • Use measuring devices to determine accuracy and read blueprints consistently.
  • Maintain quality and production standards, and ensure a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience, with a focus on assembly and construction.
  • Ability to read measuring tapes and measure to the 32nd inch.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
