About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a Field Based Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in their homes or at facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Mobile Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Travel to various locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Operate Portable Radiologic Equipment: Safely and effectively operate portable x-ray equipment at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
  • Collect and Verify Patient Information: Gather and verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
  • Prepare and Position Patients: Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Process and Transmit Images: Process images and transmit them to radiologists or requesting physicians in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Equipment and Records: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
Requirements
  • State-Specific and Federal Requirements: Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or state x-ray license.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds, and walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
  • Varied Schedule: Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
