Shipping and Receiving Representative

At Kaspar Companies, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Representative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify logistical orders and schedule shipments
• Run reports and verify backlogs of orders and parts
• Cancel orders when instructed
• Verify shipment counts on delivery trucks against bills of lading
• Notify supervisors of any shortages or overages and file bills of lading
• Report "Not in Stock (NIS)" information to credit and customer service managers
• Process will-call orders for customers and employees
• Determine method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information
• Post daily all shipping and receiving transactions to our accounting software system and ensure items pulled for shipment match those billed
• Assist with restocking return items
• Assist with our company policy of next-day delivery
• Operate a forklift, if required
• Complete day-end processes, sort, and file all paperwork
• Verify and process credit cards and submit receipts to the credit manager
• Process credit memos using applicable backup documentation
• Assist with stock checks, cycle, and inventory counts
• Restock pick stock with the ability to navigate using a bin location system
• Possess the ability to locate, pick, and pack inventory using a bin location system
• All other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and have the ability and desire to learn our company's accounting software needed to perform shipping and receiving functions
• Ability to work well with other divisions to achieve common goals
• May be required to operate a forklift, if needed
• Must have knowledge of inventory, shipping, and receiving systems
• Must be able and willing to learn and understand our location and inventory organization system
• Must possess a 5-year driving record with a clear history for the past three years
