Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and participation in activities and meals as per individual care plans.
  • Encourage residents to maintain as much independence in their care as possible.
  • Serve meals to residents in communal dining areas or their personal spaces, and assist in meal preparation according to established menus.
  • Promote healthy eating habits and adequate hydration while respecting residents' choices, and document any changes in their dietary habits for supervisory review.
  • Engage residents in recreational activities outlined in the activity schedule and foster social interactions to help build friendships among residents.
  • Maintain accurate daily records for residents, adhering to company policies; document medication administration, activities, incidents, and observations; report any changes in residents' health or behavior to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist residents with medication management as per established protocols; support or supervise residents who self-administer medications, and ensure compliance with medical directives and regulations.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents; perform routine housekeeping duties and adhere to cleaning schedules for various areas.
  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations and address resident requests for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Be aware of each resident's whereabouts, remind them to sign out when leaving the premises, and inform supervisors immediately if a resident cannot be located.
  • Foster teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues.

Work Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Day, Night, and Overnight shifts available
  • Weekend availability
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Knowledge of health promotion and maintenance
  • Ability to create a safe and effective environment

  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. and assisting residents with mobility
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR/First Aid certification (within 6-12 months of hire)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of infection control training and absence of communicable diseases
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
