Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects related to driver management.
  • Monitor driver performance to ensure alignment with both business and driver needs; implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Assist in establishing and managing new accounts.
  • Address driver-related issues and disputes effectively.
  • Collaborate with customers to secure assigned lanes and shipping commitments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure that drivers and equipment meet performance standards for on-time service.
  • Maintain current fleet maintenance programs for all vehicles.
  • Optimize revenue per tractor through effective equipment utilization.
  • Document and communicate all service-related issues promptly.
  • Build trust and integrity with customers.
  • Seek guidance from leadership on financial matters that may impact the company.
  • Plan loads for driver pickups and drop-offs based on availability and preferences.
  • Coordinate with drivers regarding physicals, drug screenings, and CDL renewals.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high-volume operations and at least 1 year in a leadership role; experience in the transportation industry is advantageous.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant applications, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations.
