Customer Service Representative

Job SummaryWe're seeking a friendly and cooperative individual to join our team as a Cashier. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing customer orders in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently at a two-aisle check stand, multi-station self-checkout lane, or customer service desk.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to internal and external customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate check stand equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and scales, to process customer transactions.
- Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques to promote products and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of current product location, monitor UPC codes, and ensure proper pricing.
- Stock, price, and rotate merchandise to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing store environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed, including working at a multi-station self-checkout lane or customer service counter.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 20 pounds frequently and perform repetitious work accurately.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, walk rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to learn and memorize a considerable amount of information, including PLU codes, product locations, and company policies.
- As required by applicable state and local laws, food safety/handlers cards, tobacco and alcohol sales certification (e.g., TAM card).
- For minors hired, hours may differ as well as machines and equipment operated.
