Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in supporting bank system administration and executing initiatives related to treasury cash management services utilized by Discover Financial Services (DFS). You will collaborate closely with external banking partners, our Treasury workstation provider (e.g., FIS), and internal business unit associates (e.g., Payment Services). You will proactively manage and escalate risks and issues that affect customers in your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Technology, Contracts, Vendor Management, and Treasury team members to facilitate, implement, and sustain Treasury technology applications/systems while ensuring controlled access to data. Act as an administrator for bank systems, applying existing controls to grant users access to new and current bank account services.
  • Assist in establishing new bank accounts, modifying services, and closing accounts as necessary while upholding the company's banking structure, treasury delegations, and executing bank authorization documents.
  • Identify and execute process enhancements and efficiencies while fostering a risk-aware culture. Ensure effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes. Analyze bank fees and improve reconciliation processes to drive savings and enhancements.
  • Support the maintenance of data integrity within the Treasury Workstation and implement projects related to change management requests (e.g., FIS Quantum), including system upgrades.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of robust procedures and controls. Monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and controls (Compliance, SOX, etc.).
  • Coordinate management oversight of Treasury's vendor relationships, conduct necessary reporting and analysis, and build strong collaborative relationships with internal business partners, banks, and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Banking, or a related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

We would also value:

  • At least 2 years of experience in OFAC/Sanction Screening or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management execution or a related field.
  • Certification as a Treasury Professional.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position typically ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,000. Additional incentives may be included as part of a competitive total compensation package. Various factors, including geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level, may influence the pay for this position.
