Tax Director

AerSale, Inc. is a leading global aviation products and services company seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Tax Compliance: Coordinate the preparation of tax compliance, including U.S. federal and state corporation tax returns, and related quarterly withholding for foreign partners and transfer pricing compliance.
• Quarterly Tax Provision: Prepare quarterly statutory and GAAP tax provision workpapers.
• Tax Research: Perform tax research on diverse tax issues, including U.S. federal and state income tax, sales tax, and other relevant areas.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare tax footnotes for all Company audited financial statements.
• Supervision and Management: Supervise ancillary tax filing and payment processes, including sales tax, foreign VAT, and certain airline-industry fees.
• External Relationships: Interact with and manage outside tax and legal advisors on tax-related projects, and interact with federal and state tax authorities as necessary on information requests and audits.
• Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate tax matters to senior management, and interact with internal team members on tax projects, questions, and customer information requests.
• Professional Development: Stay abreast of new developments in tax principles with potential company relevance, and direct tax planning projects and other initiatives.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Set career development objectives, measure performance, and mentor tax team members.
• Tax Profile Management: Continuously monitor the company's tax profile and effectively manage any tax issues to optimize the company's tax position.
• Accounting and Payroll: Analyze and maintain tax-related general ledger accounts, and oversee payroll and benefits accounting.

• Education: Bachelor's degree with concentration in taxation required, Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum five (5) years related experience, with 8-12 years of experience in a tax-related position at the professional level, including managerial experience in corporate income taxation.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient with tax software and internet-based research tools, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task and deliver accurate work product during busy periods.
