Job Description

Moran Environmental Recovery is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Financial Specialist to join our team.

The Environmental Financial Specialist plays a critical role in supporting project management to ensure the successful financial management and reporting of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up projects in the accounting system, ensuring correct accounting and tax considerations as well as all required approvals are on file.
  • Review and maintain contract documents, change orders, and client approvals to understand the scope of work and billing terms.
  • Accurately account for and recognize revenue, work-in-process, and gross profit for assigned projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field.
  • At least six (6) months of construction accounting or other relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of contract accounting and revenue recognition principles in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
