CNC Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at Quest Global. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for generating CNC programs offline for 3 axis and 5 axis Boring, milling & turning machines. Your expertise in process engineering, cutting tool design, and shop floor support will be critical to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop machining strategies to produce parts in the most effective process.
• Create process models and necessary fixturing for programming.
• Create and modify offline CNC programs.
• Validate CNC programs.
• Data management utilizing a PLM Software.
• Output and edit output code to run automatically on requested work center.
• Create setup and supporting documentation to instruct factory personnel on the loading and execution of automated manufacturing method.
• Organize and plan work effectively to produce output according to budget and schedule constraints.
• Specify and design cutting tools used in the machining process.
• Troubleshoot machining results and work holding issues with production personnel to optimize manufacturing process.
• Create/provide reports to upper management.

Requirements:

• AS in Machining Technology or related experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an offline CNC programmer.
• Proficient in cutting tool design and specification.
• Knowledge of feed and speed calculations for optimal material removal rate.
• Proficient reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Proficient with GD&T both ASME Y14.5 1994 and ASME Y14.5 2009 requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel and shop floor employees.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Power Generation or Aerospace background.
