Job Title: Mathematics Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary:

Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach mathematics courses at the Bluefield Center. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in mathematics or a related field and 18 graduate hours in mathematics to teach credit-level coursework.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics courses in a face-to-face format
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in mathematics or a related field with 18 graduate hours in mathematics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Expertise in mathematics and a history of successful teaching or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of teaching experience
  • Work experience in the field of mathematics
  • Experience with online teaching
