Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present all food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections of all incoming and outgoing food items.
  • Identify and prepare all menu offerings.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in measuring and weighing ingredients.
  • Utilize various cooking methods, including frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling.
  • Set up, clean, and dismantle kitchen stations as required.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is functional and hygienic.
  • Adhere to health codes and sanitation regulations at all levels.
  • Properly store, label, and date all food items in compliance with health guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and follow correct cleaning procedures.
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations.
  • Follow uniform guidelines while on duty.

Additional Duties:

  • Prepare, cook, and expedite various food orders, including a la carte and banquet meals.
  • Promptly report any food shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold high work standards.
  • Interact respectfully with colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, emergency, and sanitation protocols; report any violations as necessary.
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Handle incoming deliveries, adhering to proper food storage guidelines and FIFO principles.
  • Support Kitchen Managers, Assistant Kitchen Managers, and Lead Line Cooks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Food safety certifications are encouraged.
