Position Overview:

The radiation therapist plays a crucial role within the radiation oncology treatment team. This professional is tasked with the precise administration of therapeutic radiation treatments and simulations for patients, under the guidance of a radiation oncologist. A comprehensive understanding of radiation therapy principles, along with proficiency in patient evaluation and communication, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers daily radiation therapy treatments to assigned patients efficiently and accurately, accommodating the scheduling needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Maintains comprehensive records of treatment sessions and other necessary documentation.
  • Participates in the orientation and training of new radiation therapists, covering unit-specific procedures, on-call protocols, and simulation techniques, while providing timely feedback to the clinic director.
  • Conducts computed tomography (CT) simulation procedures and clinical simulations in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Patient Documentation: Demonstrates fundamental proficiency in documenting patient information in practical applications.
  • Training: Capable of presenting course modules effectively, demonstrating knowledge of content and audience engagement.
  • Computerized Tomography Technology: Shows proficiency in applying computerized tomography technology in practical settings.
  • Radiation Therapy: Exhibits the ability to administer radiation therapy treatments accurately and efficiently.

Relevant work experience is preferred.
