Radiation Oncology Coding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Coding Specialist to join our team at OneOncology. As a key member of our team, you will provide radiation oncology and general coding expertise and advice to our partner practices, including physicians and internal team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing coding support to practices as needed, with hands-on coding and billing expertise
  • Partnering with leadership to analyze data, review coding cases, identify trends and issues, and propose strategies for resolution
  • Researching billing and coding guidelines for radiation oncology and other necessary oncology-related specialties
  • Advising the OneOncology team and partner practices on coding changes
  • Providing coding education and training as required
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities for the department/practice
  • Partnering with the management team to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Requirements:

  • CPC or other coding certification required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of radiation oncology coding experience required
  • Oncology coding experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in using data to make decisions and drive behavior change in support organizations
