Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Tools & Frameworks team, you will play a critical role in delivering the next generation of products, services, and tools that empower developers inside and outside Apple to be at their most creative and efficient.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and project management, with excellent communication and organization skills. You will be responsible for project planning, tracking, execution, and reporting, as well as overseeing service qualification, deployment, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and status documentation
  • Collaborating with large cross-functional stakeholder groups
  • Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding requirements, changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information
  • Presenting new feature initiatives, top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership
  • Driving focus to critical path deliverables and tracking execution of dependencies
  • Coordinating complex and highly dependent groups of changes through our build and integration systems
  • Proactively identifying risks to software delivery, developing mitigation strategies, and facilitating resolutions

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in program or project management in software development
  • Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to build trusting relationships and influence others
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Build and Release Engineering/Release Management experience
  • Project Management experience in software development life cycle
  • Understanding of software build pipelines, merging, test systems and methods, and the delivery of code
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Analytics (Splunk/Tableau preferred)
  • Knowledge of operating system internals and architecture skills and experience
