Palliative Care Physician Career Opportunity

Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona seeks a full-time clinical and academic physician for the multidisciplinary Palliative Care service line at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as clinical supervision and teaching for two fellows in training in the Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Clinical supervision and teaching for two fellows in training
  • Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotational weekend hospital and call coverage
  • Part of an interdisciplinary team providing excellent care for all patients

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Successful completion of ACGME accredited residency program and Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatric Medicine fellowship
  • A passion for providing clinically excellent care
  • Active/Eligible ABMS certification Internal Medicine / Hospice & Palliative Care Medicine
  • AZ State medical license or eligibility
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $114.85 - $141.19 per hour. Our comprehensive benefits package includes premium-free insurance options, a matched 403(b) retirement plan, employer-funded pension plan, relocation allowance for applicable physicians, CME benefits, and malpractice insurance.
