About the Role

CommonSpirit Health Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Palliative Care Physician Leader to join its team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to lead the development and growth of a multidisciplinary Palliative Care service line.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, as well as experience in education and administration. They will be responsible for providing direct patient care, precepting fellows, and contributing to the growth of the Palliative Care program.

About the Opportunity

  • This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
  2. Lead a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of high-quality patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
  3. Collaborate with hospital administrators and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the growth of the Palliative Care program.
  4. Contribute to the development of educational programs and materials to support the training of healthcare professionals in Palliative Care.
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports related to patient care, program performance, and other key metrics.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship.
  • Active board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Record of involvement in education and scholarly activities, including publication of research papers and presentations at conferences.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
