Job Title: Logistician III

Vector CSP, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Logistician III to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic for the USCG Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Job Summary:

This role involves providing logistics, integration, and technical services to outfit Coast Guard cutters with C5I systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for integration and technical support for standalone shipboard systems. Your scope of work will include program, engineering, technical, drafting, training, logistics, procurement, intelligence, and operations support services for designated C5I systems onboard National Security Cutter (NSC), Polar Security Cutter (PSC), Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC), Fast Response Cutter (FRC), Medium Endurance Cutters (WMEC), and other afloat, mobile, and shore platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with customers' key personnel involved in logistics activities.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure those needs are met.
  • Manage subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as liaisons between subcontractors and organizations.
  • Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates.
  • Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
  • Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Redesign the movement of goods to maximize value and minimize costs.
  • Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
  • Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling, and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
  • Perform managerial duties such as hiring and training employees and overseeing facility needs or requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, take advantage of sales opportunities, or minimize negative impacts on the business.
  • Report project plans, progress, and results.
  • Protect and control proprietary materials.
Requirements:
  • Secret Clearance required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, including logistics principles, practices, and processes.
  • Experience shall include at least four (4) years of support with C4ISR or similar systems, including analyzing engineering/systems management data and developing logistics plans and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Technical expertise in relevant systems, methodologies, and tools applicable to the industry.
  • Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, and apply sound judgment to resolve challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for effectively conveying information to stakeholders and team members, including report writing and presentations.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, processes, and deliverables while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry requirements.
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing, and validating documentation, proposals, and reports to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust strategies and processes in response to changing project demands and environments.
