Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in Carlsbad, New Mexico

NES Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
About the HospitalOur hospital is a 160-bed community hospital that is part of a larger healthcare system. We are a Level III Trauma Center and utilize the Medhost EDIS EMR system.
Coverage and Services- Teleradiology services are available 24/7.
- Tele Interventional Radiology services are also available 24/7.
- We provide coverage for Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Tele-Intensivists, Ultrasound, OB/GYN, Ortho, Hospitalist, General Surgery, Podiatry, Gastro, Optho, Plastics, ENT, and Cardio services.
- We have a 90-minute lab turn-around time.
We have a 12-bed ED with a triage room and group hold room. Our annual visit volume is 22,500, and our admission rate from the ED is 9%.
- We have 12-hour Physician Shifts and 12-hour APP Shifts.
- Our ED responds to floor codes.
- Candidates must have an active New Mexico medical license or be able to obtain one.
- Candidates must be residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Candidates must have active BLS, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Carlsbad is a beautiful city located in the Chihuahuan Desert. It has a tree-lined streets, numerous public parks and recreation areas, and a municipal beach and greenway along Lake Carlsbad.
