NES Health is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Carlsbad Medical Center in New Mexico.

- Carlsbad Medical Center is a 160-bed community hospital that is part of Community Health Systems.
- The hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and uses the Medhost EDIS EMR system.
Coverage includes:
- Teleradiology and Tele Interventional Radiology services
- Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, and Tele-Intensivists 24/7
- Ultrasound (limited), OB/GYN, Ortho, Hospitalist, General Surgery, Podiatry, Gastro, Optho (limited), Plastics (limited), ENT (limited), and Cardio (limited)
- Neurology services via telemedicine
- 90-minute lab turn-around times
About the Program and Hours
- The Emergency Department has 12 beds, a triage room, and a group hold room for 4 people.
- The ED sees 22,500 annual visits and has a 9% admission rate from the ED.
- ED scribe coverage is available 12 hours a day.
- The ED responds to floor codes.
- Physician shifts are 12 hours a day, and APP shifts are 12 hours a day.
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico license or ability to attain unrestricted state license
- PA or FNP training and board certification
- Active BLS, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
